Our number one need is prayer.
One of the best ways you can help us reach the world with the Word of God is to pray for the work of our Association. Please find specific prayer points below.
Praise the Lord:
- For the faithful personal witness and testimony of Gideon members and the distribution of God’s Word in 12,000 camps throughout the world.
- That we have been called to strive side by side for the faith of the Gospel.
- For the many doors that are open for Scripture distributions throughout our nation.
- For the generosity of Gideons, Auxiliary, churches, Friends of Gideons and donors – who help provide for Scriptures and for Gideons funding our ministry support team at our National Office.
- For the blessing of new members who have joined The Gideons to work with us in His harvest.
- For the blessing of many Scriptures distributed to tertiary and high school students and within other institutions.
- For the Zambia and Uganda International Scripture Blitzes, and the Coffs Harbour Scripture Blitz.
- For the faithful work of our Regional Field Officers (RFOs) overseas.
Please pray:
- That we will worship the Lord with all of our lives and desire to give Him glory in all we do.
- That we will develop a burden for the lost and a passionfor witnessing.
- For guidance and wisdom for our members in approaching high schools and tertiary institutions for distributions, and open doors in funeral homes, prisons, refuges, hospitals, health and aged care facilities, emergency services and accommodation venues.
- For our seven RFOs travelling to assist and encourage other Gideons overseas in countries like Uganda, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Botswana, Reunion, Mayotte and Mauritius.
- For those going through financial hardship and family challenges.
- For family members, children, grandchildren, and spouses who do not follow our Lord.
