Allocating Your Donation

As a member of The Gideons International in Australia, you have a much wider range of areas where your gifts can be used. Below is a list of all the various giving categories (and their codes in brackets) and how they are used.

General Fund (GFO)

This includes regular Gideon camp offerings and is the prime area for member giving to cover administration costs, including communications, financial processing, online services, training, ministry development and the production of ministry materials. Where financially prudent, surplus funds are also directed towards Scripture distribution.

Gideon Card Receipts (GCR)

Gifts for this fund are used for the purchase and distribution of Scriptures in Australia. Any surplus goes to overseas Scriptures.

Auxiliary Event Offering (AESL)

Auxiliary offerings given at or for Auxiliary events contribute directly to Scriptures and development costs in overseas countries.

Gideon State Convention Offering (GSCO)

Gideon offerings given at or for the state convention are used for the purchase and distribution of Scriptures worldwide.

Gideon National Convention Offering (GNCO)

Gideon offerings given at or for the national convention are used for the purchase and distribution of Scriptures worldwide.

Gideon Scripture Fund (NSFO)

Gifts for this fund are used for the purchase and distribution of Scriptures in Australia. Any surplus goes to overseas Scriptures.

Auxiliary Scripture Fund (ASFO)

This includes regular Auxiliary camp offerings. Gifts for this fund are used for the purchase and distribution of Scriptures in Australia. Any surplus goes to overseas Scriptures.

Faith Fund (FF)

Gifts to this fund contribute directly to Scriptures in overseas countries. Of the approximately 200 countries in which The Gideons International operates, only 6 are completely self-sufficient. The other countries depend on assistance from countries like Australia to provide the necessary funds for Bible distribution.

Auxiliary State Convention Offering (ASCO)

Auxiliary offerings given at or for the state convention are used for the purchase and distribution of Scriptures worldwide.

Auxiliary National Convention Offering (ANCO)

Auxiliary offerings given at or for the national convention are used for the purchase and distribution of Scriptures worldwide.
