On 1 July, 2004, a special Bible
was presented to the Governor General of Australia, Major
General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC (Retd) to commemorate the
distribution of 12 million copies of Scripture in Australia
since the Gideon ministry commenced here in 1956.
The presentation
was made by the Australian National President, Mr David Jarrott.
In December we exceeded
13 million copies of Scripture distributed in Australia. Watch
this space for a report of the presentation of the 13 millionth
Scripture.
